Mahoning County Green Team Recycling

Youngstown residents also have access to recycling resources provided through the Mahoning County Solid Waste Management District's Green Team, including qualifying curbside recycling, public recycling drop-off centers, electronics programs, appliance and tire collections, and household hazardous-waste resources.

Current Green Team curbside guidance allows qualifying accepted recyclables to be combined in the recycling bin rather than requiring residents to sort each accepted recycling category into a separate container.

This should not be confused with Youngstown §979.15: the City ordinance addresses separating recyclables from ordinary garbage, while Green Team instructions govern preparation of materials actually entering its recycling stream.
